Video: Here's how to register online in just a matter of minutes
With all the main manifestos published and the last of the TV debates taking place, General Election 2015 is gearing up to be one of the closest political battles in history.
With a hung parliament ever likely, and with history possibly in the making, you'll not want to regret voting in such an intriguing election - so make sure you register to vote and have your voice heard.
The deadline to register this year is Monday 20 April at midnight. The easiest and quickest way to vote is to go it online by going to: gov.uk/register-to-vote.
To help you out, The Independent has created a video to guide you through the process.
Once registered, a polling card card will be delivered to your address, detailing where your polling station is on May 7. However, you do not need to take the polling card to the booth on election day.
The general election takes place on Thursday 7 May and polls open from 7am until 10pm.
