A video allegedly showing the rapper Suge Knight ploughing into two men with a truck has been released into the public.

Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen released the video and other pieces of evidence after the rapper and Death Row Records founder was ordered to stand trial for murder.

Knight has been charged with killing 55-year-old Terry Carter and seriously injuring Cle “Bone” Sloan by striking them with his SUV at a burger stand in Compton, in Los Angeles, following an argument on a film set.

The nine-minute video of Knight, 49, running over the two men in late January was captured on CCTV at a drive-thru in the burger stand.

According to the Associated Press, it shows Knight’s truck pulling into the driveway and Sloan walking up to the driver’s side window. A struggle breaks out, during which Sloan told detectives he repeatedly punched Knight in response to insults.

Knight's truck is then seen backing up, throwing Sloan to the ground before the truck drives over his legs and then hits Carter, running him over. The whole incident happens within 30 seconds and Carter later died from his injuries.

Knight has denied the charges against him. His lawyers say he was trying to escape an ambush by Sloan and others when he ran the men over.

Knight was ordered to stand trial after Sloan repeatedly said he didn't remember what happened and refused to identify the rapper as the person who injured him. Sloan initially told authorities he had attacked Knight during the altercation.
