David Bowie has equalled Elvis Presley's Official Albums Chart record for most simultaneous entries in the Top 40, with 12 albums from his back catalogue currently in the ranking.

His final album Blackstar remains at the Number 1 spot for a third week in a row, following the singer's death on 10 January; alongside Best of Bowie (Number 3), Nothing Has Changed (Number 5), Hunky Dory (Number 9), and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (Number 10).

Like Bowie, Presley's record was set after his passing in 1977. Bowie is also notable for being the second act in Official Chart history to have 5 albums simultaneously in the Top 10; the first being Michael Jackson after his death in 2009, when six of his albums ranked in the Top 10.

The other albums of Bowie's in the chart are Aladdin Sane (Number 20), Low (Number 27), Heroes (Number 28), Diamond Dogs (Number 30), The Next Day (Number 31), Station to Station (Number 32), and Scary Monsters (Number 36).

Elsewhere, Adele still reigns strong with a Number 2 spot for 25, with Justin Bieber placing at Number 4 with Purpose. On the singles chart, Shawn Mendes maintains the top spot with his debut single 'Stitches', with Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself' at Number 2.
