Italian artist and illustrator Alexsandro Palombo has given Kate Middleton’s most iconic style moments a Springfield makeover.

Palombo, known for his irreverent fashion cartoons, features 55 images of a pale yellow Duchess with her trademark voluminous wavy locks, wearing some of her most iconic looks. These include a red pleated Alexander McQueen dress she sported during her royal tour to Australia, a McQueen lavender number she wore for the 2011 BAFTA gala in Los Angeles, a sharp white Roland Mouret gown she wore in 2012 and a green Hobbs coat she wore at the Irish Guard’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. A Simpsonized Queen Elizabeth is also seen doing the royal wave alongside the Duchess at Buckingham Palace.

Talking about his subject he told The Independent: “I think Kate is one of the most beautiful and elegant woman these days and through these series I wanted to immortalize her essence of femininity... I've made a selection of her most interesting looks: clean cuts and beautiful lines that have made her a true icon. His style is unique and recognizable.”

Palombo is not officially associated with The Simpsons, but has previously illustrated Marge Simpson and Disney Princesses as victims of domestic violence and last year he illustrated blue haired Marge wearing some of the most iconic designer dresses, from Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress to Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's black gown.

Palombo added: “This approach [Duchess’ illustrations] is typical of my artistic world, my own artistic language. I mix up colour, iconic cartoon characters, satires, humour, realism and surrealism.”

This, however, is not the first approach of the legendary pale yellow characters in the fashion and beauty industry. MAC Cosmetics unveiled a collaboration with The Simpsons, which is set to launch in September featuring beehive blue eye shadows and pale rosy blusher, but no yellow concealer.
