From a pub quiz boss to a hypnotherapist with her own matchmaking firm, this year's candidates are an eclectic bunch.

There are four more contestants than usual but the show will still run for 12 weeks, meaning Lord Sugar will get to shout "You're fired!" multiple times in several episodes.

Baroness Brady and Nick Hewer are returning to advise Lord Sugar on whose business he should invest £250,000 in.

The tenth series, airing again on BBC One, includes burlesque dancer Jemma Bird, Canadian social worker Steven Ugoalah, fitness instructor Katie Bulmer-Cooke and swimming academy owner Lindsay Booth.

During this run, candidates will be asked to design wearable technology, run coach tours, create an online video channel and launch a soft drink brand.

The hit show returns with a double bill on Tuesday and Wednesday next week before running every Wednesday at 9pm thereafter.

For more dedicated fans, there will also be a 10th anniversary special on Monday at 10.35pm. This show will remind viewers of "classic moments and characters" from past series.

Last year's series was won by Doctor Leah Totton after she attracted Lord Sugar's business attention with her proposition for a medical cosmetic surgery company.

Past winners have included Tom Pellereau, Tim Campbell, Michelle Dewberry, Lee McQueen and Stella English, who took Lord Sugar to an employment tribunal in 2013 after claiming he treated her like an "overpaid lackey". She lost her case.
