The stages for the 2015 Tour de Yorkshire has been announced with the three-day race to begin in Bridlington and finish in Leeds.

Stage One will see cyclists travel up the coast towards Scarborough before coming inland to Scalby and then north through the North York Moors National Park and then heading east to Whitby and then south before finishing in Scarborough.

Stage Two starts in Selby, heading towards Beverley before going north all the way to Malton and then south west again, finishing in York. Stage Three begins in Wakefield before heading to Barnsley, Hebden Bridge, and finishing in Leeds.

The first two stages are a gruelling 174km (108miles) each, while Stage Three is 167km (103m).

The event is part of the legacy from last year's Tour de France Grand Depart, where more than 2.5million people turned out in Yorkshire to watch the race, some of the highest crowd numbers in the event's history.
