The Yorkshire pudding burger is the latest stupid burger

Please make it stop

(Rift & Co)

Another day, another burger made out of anything other than buns.

The latest sees bread switched out for Yorkshire pudding, creating a sort of Sunday roast burger.

It is served in Rift & Co, which is the fancy new name for Vodka Revs, and was the brainchild of bar manager Jeremy Rose.

"I have seen the doughnut burger on a menu in a Leeds restaurant and thought I wanted to try and do something different," he said.

"The new menu will have a big burger selection but wanted something really that stands out on the menu."

Other arguably sacrilegious burgers to be conjured up recently include KFC's chicken-as-a-bun Double Down and a veggie burger that is supposed to taste as good as the real thing and oozes plant 'blood'.

Ambrose insists this one does taste good.

"It is good, really! Everyone is very eager to try it," he added.

"People want to try something different that they maybe wouldn’t have at home when they go out to eat."
