Follow the latest from around the Premier League as England's top flight returns to action after a two week hiatus for the international break.

Tottenham were looking to avenge their heavy defeats suffered at the hands of Manchester City last season, but instead they were witness to a clinical masterclass from Sergio Aguero as the Argentinian striker bagged four goals against the North London side.

In a dramatic match that saw four penalties awarded, two scored and Federico Fazio red carded, City triumphed 4-1 to close the gap to Chelsea at the top of the table to two points.

Burnley entertain Hull, Everton are desperately seeking a win against Aston Villa while Alan Pardew will hope for some respite against Leicester. Finally, Southampton will hope to continue their good form against Sunderland at St Mary's.
