This restaurant has misunderstood the concept of 'cheese and biscuits'

Brie and custard creams, anyone?

A plain cracker can perfectly compliment a range of cheeses, a Jammy Dodger less so.

When Diane Murray ordered cheese and biscuits after a meal at an as yet unnamed restaurant she was brought out a smorgasbord of brie, cheddar and red leicester, along with custard creams, Jammy Dodgers and bourbons.

My favourite thing about this is how elegantly they are arranged, as if the chef was aware something might not be right about the dish and tried to made up for it with presentation pizazz.

"If you need cheering up, here's a photo of the time my stepmum asked for cheese and biscuits at a hotel," daughter Steph Kerr wrote on Twitter alongside many crying with laughter emoji.

Diane has promised to reveal the name of the hotel where the unusual dessert was served in return for Comic Relief donations.
