Arsenal vs Ludogorets team news: Arsene Wenger makes four changes but Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil start
Arsene Wenger rings the changes for clash with Bulgarian champions
Arsene Wenger has made four changes to his starting line-up for the visit of Bulgarian champions Ludogorets to Emirates Stadium as he looks to maintain Arsenal’s unbeaten start in the Champions League.
David Ospina starts in goal to continue his European duties, while Kieran Gibbs comes into the defence to replace Nacho Monreal who joins Petr Cech on the substitutes’ bench.
Granit Xhaka also drops out of the starting line-up despite being banned for the weekend visit of Middlesbrough, so Francis Coquelin comes into midfield to partner Santi Cazorla.
Arsenal’s in-form trio of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Özil and Theo Walcott all start, but Alex Iwobi is dropped to the bench to make space for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is deployed on the left wing.
Gabriel Paulista, Lucas Perez and Mohamed Elneny make up the rest of the substitutes, with both Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey still injured.
Ludogorets boast defender Cosmin Moti among their ranks, who famously saved two penalties in a penalty shootout during a 2014 Champions League play-off against Steaua Bucharest to see the side through to the group stage for the first time in their history.
