New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is claiming that President Donald Trump made him order the meatloaf lunch when they ate together at the White House on Valentines Day.

Governor Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, reportedly dined with the President at the White House on Tuesday afternoon. And while guest hosting WFAN 660-AM’s "Boomer & Carton Show" on Thursday, he said that President Trump told his guests to order any meal they desire. Then he announced that he and Mr Christie would be eating the meatloaf.

‘‘This is what it’s like to be with Trump,’’ he admitted. ‘‘He says, ‘There’s the menu, you guys order whatever you want.’ And then he says, ‘Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.’’’

Mr Christie said that Mr Trump insisted he eat the meal. ‘‘I’m telling you,” the President said, according to Mr Christie, “the meatloaf is fabulous.”

While enjoying their meatloaf, the two Republicans apparently discussed the nation’s opioid epidemic and ways to fight drug abuse. Just one day later, Mr Christie signed several bills in attempt to address the crisis.
