Pharrell Williams left his famous Grammy Awards hat at home in favour of a suit...with shorts, while Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch appeared looking suave as ever.
Jared Leto ditched the black for a flashy white tuxedo complete with shiny red bow tie as he claimed the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

The real Philomena Lee opted for a bright, coral number as she arrived to cheer on British film Philomena, based on her life. Judi Dench, who plays her in the movie, was nominated for Best Actress alongside Gravity's Sandra Bullock and the winner Cate Blanchett.
Blanchett opted for a sparkling flesh-coloured dress adorned with giant silver sequins.
Jennifer Lawrence arrived fashionably late after Twitter was overtaken with cries of "Where is she?" only to trip on the red carpet before the ceremony had even begun.
