Emma Watson has revealed she would consider a role in the movie version of steamy "mummy porn" book Fifty Shades Of Grey.

The Harry Potter star's name has been floated as a possible candidate to play Anastasia Steele in the raunchy tale of bondage and domination.

Watson, best known for playing bookworm Hermione in the Potter films, said she had not been offered the role so far, but would entertain the idea if she found it to be an "interesting story".

The Fifty Shades stories, which Watson has yet to read, have been a huge international hit. The books, created by author Erika Leonard under the name EL James, have smashed sales records after first being published earlier this year.

Watson, 22, told press she knew the books were "quite raunchy".

She is currently promoting new film The Perks Of Being A Wallflower in which she appears in lingerie for a Rocky Horror-style scene.

Watson said of the Fifty Shades suggestions: "The thing is I haven't read any of the book because I haven't read a script so it's quite difficult to know what I'm turning down potentially but I hear it's quite raunchy.

"I mean if there's interesting character development and there's an interesting story then I would consider it - but I haven't been offered anything."
